About Effective Altruism Munich

Effective Altruism (EA) Munich is a local chapter of the global EA movement, welcoming everyone interested in making a positive impact. You do not need to be part of the community to attend our events, nor do you need to be knowledgeable about EA. Everyone is welcome. We are looking forward to meeting you!

What we do

• Social meetups: Our social meetups present a perfect opportunity to get to know members of EA Munich. You can come by yourself or bring a friend as well. As with all our events, everyone is welcome.

• Introductory programs: During every semester, we organize an introductory program, which you can join both in-person in Munich as well as virtually. For a month, you will take part in weekly meetings to get introduced to the principles of Effective Altruism and engage critically with the movement and its ideas.

• Workshops & Talks: We regularly host workshops and talks to focus on specific issues and dicuss them in detail.

• Career mentoring: Patrick of EA Germany offers career guidance in Munich, check this website for more information.

• Hiking & other fun things: When the weather is good, we often organize community hikes or picnic in the park.
